About Abby Care

Making family care possible. At Abby Care, we are tackling one of the most important and unsolved challenges of our time: family caregiving.

Over 50 million Americans are family caregivers for loved ones without pay, tools, or support. Our mission is clear and ambitious: to train and employ family caregivers so they can get paid for the care they already provide at home.

Abby Care is building a tech-powered, family-first care platform to efficiently deliver care, improve health outcomes, and provide the best-in-class experience nationwide.

We are rapidly expanding our mission and looking for passionate team members to join. Abby Care has partnered with leading insurance plans, healthcare providers, and community organizations. We’re supported by top, mission-driven VCs to empower families throughout the country.

The Role

We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented expert to join us as a Family Care Enrollment Specialist. This is a Full-Time Remote opportunity based in Denver, Colorado.

In this role, you’ll guide prospective families and caregivers through Medicaid, waivers, and home health—turning complex eligibility, documentation, and service options into clear next steps that build trust and drive program enrollment. You are a consultative seller with subject-matter fluency. You translate policy and process into plain language, handle nuanced objections with empathy, and move high-intent families from interest to commitment. You’ll own conversion on sales escalations, keep a tight follow-up rhythm in CRM, and collaborate with our intake and clinical teams to shorten time-to-enrollment without sacrificing quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the final point of contact (“closer”) for families and caregivers, turning complex conversations into successful enrollments through a consultative approach—own conversion and time-to-enrollment targets.
  • Effectively communicate Medicaid and waiver programs, home health care, and Abby Care’s unique value proposition—translate policy into plain language and next steps that drive commitment.
  • Handle escalations and nuanced cases from the Growth intake team; take transfers and high-intent inbound requiring advanced program knowledge or problem-solving to prevent drop-off.
  • Act as a peer leader—coach teammates, run call reviews, and document winning talk tracks that raise team-wide close rates.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine scripts, FAQs, and training based on call insights; A/B iterate to reduce objections and shorten cycles.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the sales process and customer experience, informing experiments that increase conversion and reduce time-to-care.

The Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, customer success, or intake coordination within healthcare, home health, or Medicaid programs—experience closing service enrollments or benefits-driven offerings preferred.
  • Proven closer: consistent record of objection handling, advancing complex family decisions, and meeting or exceeding conversion targets using a consultative approach.
  • Deep working knowledge of Colorado Medicaid, waivers, and home health services; able to translate eligibility and documentation into clear steps for families.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and takes initiative without detailed instructions; owns outcomes and follows through.
  • Exceptional communication skills—distills complex topics into plain language and next steps; matches empathy with clarity and confidence.
  • High emotional intelligence with a natural ability to connect, reassure, and inspire decisive action in moments that matter.
  • Energized by team success—shares what works and helps others win.
  • Data-informed sales discipline: skilled with CRM hygiene, pipeline management, and a repeatable follow-up rhythm; uses data to prioritize, forecast, and improve.

Our Values

  1. Families First
Redefining healthcare starts with how we treat the parents and children we serve. We go above and beyond for every family, building strong, lasting relationships. We continually ask ourselves, “Would we want this for our own families?”

  2. Urgency with Precision
Millions of families are waiting for care, and they cannot wait, therefore this is not your typical 9 to 5 job. We match their urgency with our own, delivering exceptional care without compromise. Here, speed and excellence go hand in hand.

  3. Relentlessly Resourceful
As an ambitious startup, we adapt quickly and make the most of limited time and resources. We solve challenges with creativity to deliver results without unnecessary complexity.

  4. Purpose with Positivity
We take our mission seriously while never losing sight of the people behind the work. Respect, kindness, memes, and coffee make us stronger as a team and better for the families we serve.

  5. Driven to Redefine What’s Possible
We are here to make healthcare better, which means asking hard questions, challenging outdated systems, and finding smarter, more compassionate ways to deliver care.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation packages that reflect the value you bring. We reward our team for the impact of their work.
    • This is a Full-Time role with an estimated $50,000-$55,000 annual salary + annual bonus + benefits
