About Abby Care
Making family care possible. At Abby Care, we are tackling one of the most important and unsolved challenges of our time: family caregiving.
Over 50 million Americans are family caregivers for loved ones without pay, tools, or support. Our mission is clear and ambitious: to train and employ family caregivers so they can get paid for the care they already provide at home.
Abby Care is building a tech-powered, family-first care platform to efficiently deliver care, improve health outcomes, and provide the best-in-class experience nationwide.
We are rapidly expanding our mission and looking for passionate team members to join. Abby Care has partnered with leading insurance plans, healthcare providers, and community organizations. We’re supported by top, mission-driven VCs to empower families throughout the country.
The Role
We’re looking for a driven, ambitious leader to join us as General Manager of Georgia. This hybrid role is based in Atlanta, Georgia and is ideal for someone with a strong track record operating in complex, high-growth environments and leading teams at scale. You’ll have full autonomy and end-to-end ownership of the market, with the freedom to think creatively and execute decisively to drive meaningful impact.
You’ll own the success of the Georgia market and lead its growth from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the market strategy and P&L. Identify growth opportunities and partnerships, assess the competitive landscape, and evolve positioning in close partnership with company leadership.
Drive operational excellence. Lead day-to-day market operations across sales, support, and clinical delivery, using KPIs to hold teams accountable and continuously improve performance.
Build and lead high-performing teams. Hire, develop, and manage values-driven operators, builders, and growth leaders as the market scales.
Serve as the market lead and brand ambassador. Build strong relationships with users, partners, and stakeholders to establish a trusted presence in Georgia.
Scale with speed and flexibility. Navigate rapid growth and regulatory complexity while maintaining an exceptional patient experience.
Partner cross-functionally. Collaborate with operations, clinical, and product teams to shape strategy and inform the company roadmap.
The Requirements:
7+ years of analytical, strategic operations experience, with a proven track record leading a company or market through hypergrowth (3–4x YoY) and managing an 8–9 figure P&L.
Startup operator experience preferred, especially in fast-paced, boots-on-the-ground environments.
Proven people builder. Experience scaling operations teams from ~15 to 45+, with a strong reputation as a leader and recruiting magnet.
Strategic and execution-oriented. Able to set direction, align teams to the company mission, and drive toward clear, measurable growth goals.
Highly data-driven. Comfortable using analytics and metrics to inform decisions and course-correct quickly.
Hands-on, high-ownership mindset. Willing to get in the weeds, move fast, and handle the realities of an early-stage startup—this is not a traditional 9–5.
Full commitment required. This role is full-time and your top priority, with the expectation of growing alongside the company over the next 1–2 years.
