The People team empowers Airbyte to achieve its mission by enabling high performance and developing a world-class team. As a Strategic People Partner with a focus on talent development, you will play a critical role in partnering with leaders to scale our organization thoughtfully and sustainably. With deep expertise in employee lifecycle strategy, manager enablement, and career development, you’ll support key functions through a blend of strategic counsel and hands-on execution.
You’ll have the opportunity not only to influence core People Team processes like performance, engagement, and org design, but also to shape and lead talent development initiatives that raise the bar across the company. As a key member of the team, you are driven to elevate both the people's experience and the performance of the business—and to help others rise to that same level.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead employee relations, employee engagement programming, and investigations.
- Conduct and facilitate training related to the adoption of our people principles and cultural norms/expectations.
- Support the Sr. Director, People in org design and structural changes to ensure consistency.
- Monitor and help maintain accuracy of employee records using our HRIS systems.
- Evaluate new-hire onboarding at the department level and help leaders onboard and ramp new Airbyters effectively.
- Lead performance management activities and compensation modifications, helping leaders understand team performance and reward outperformance.
- Identify and support programming that impacts and builds velocity within the business, specifically learning and development.
What You’ll Need:
- 7+ years of progressive HR/ People experience
- 4–5 years specifically in an HRBP or generalist role, ideally partnering closely with business leaders in all functions.
- Experience across key HR disciplines like org design, performance management, employee relations, and talent development.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, drive org change, and manage through ambiguity at scale.
- Proven ability to effectively and respectfully partner with individuals at varying levels within an organization.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, listening, business writing, facilitation and presentation skills).
- Success in high-growth environments with exposure to helping employees through change.
- Proven performance management skills (coaching, performance improvement, career growth and judgment).
- Advocated and championed various people and learning and development processes and programs.
- Understanding of people-related metrics and comfort with using data as an input to decision-making
- A learning mindset, growth orientation, intellectual honesty
