<div> <p>Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering. Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent dense. We particularly like people who are truth-seeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.</p> <p>We're in-person with cozy offices in North Beach, San Francisco and Manhattan, New York, replete with well-stocked libraries.</p> <p>Software Engineer, Generalist</p> </div>

Anysphere is an artificial intelligence software company that develops Cursor, an AI-powered code editor and software development platform. The company focuses on helping developers write, edit, debug, and manage code through natural language interactions and AI-assisted programming workflows. Rather than offering AI as a plug-in to existing development tools, Anysphere built Cursor as an AI-first development environment that integrates code generation, code understanding, and task automation directly into the editor experience. Its flagship product, Cursor, is based on the Visual Studio Code ecosystem and incorporates large language models to assist with code completion, refactoring, debugging, documentation, and multi-file code changes. The platform can analyze entire codebases, answer context-aware questions, generate new functionality, and automate software development tasks through conversational prompts.

Anysphere also develops AI agents and coding workflows that enable developers to perform complex engineering tasks with reduced manual effort. Its technology integrates with multiple AI models and supports features such as autonomous coding, project-wide code analysis, intelligent code suggestions, and software maintenance workflows. The company's approach combines AI-assisted development with traditional coding tools to support both individual developers and enterprise engineering teams.
