In this quota-carrying sales position, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle, pitching Artsy's value proposition to Galleries and driving subscription revenue. You will focus on selling to emerging and Blue-Chip Galleries, requiring art industry expertise and a deep understanding of gallery sales motions and operations.

Working on the New Business Team provides a unique opportunity to expand Artsy’s global gallery network, supporting our goals of expanding the art market to support more artists and art in the world.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial outreach to closing deals, while maintaining a strong focus on building and nurturing long-term relationships with key prospects

  • Build and oversee a robust sales pipeline, utilizing Salesforce and Outreach, and ensure high conversion rates for both inbound and outbound leads

  • Demonstrate expertise in objection handling, effectively addressing client concerns and positioning Artsy as the premier solution for their needs

  • Cultivate trust and credibility through timely and personalized follow-up, fostering strong and enduring partnerships with prospects

  • Collaborating with the Sales Development Associate to strategize on which markets to target based on events, art happenings and seasonality

  • Utilize AI and automation tools to increase process efficiency and provide better solutions to partners

This role is a fit for you if:

  • You are currently authorized to live and work in the US

  • Can work three days per week in our New York City office

  • ~5 years of art industry experience in a revenue driving, client acquisition/retention, or account management role

  • You have direct knowledge and understanding of Gallery sales motions

  • You are a consultative sales professional who prioritizes understanding and meeting customer needs in every interaction

  • You are solutions-focused and a creative problem solver, with strong negotiation skills

  • You are highly organized and able to manage sales pipeline efficiently and effectively; strong time management skills

  • You are an effective verbal and written communicator with the ability to effectively engage with VIP clients

  • Metrics-driven and highly results-oriented

  • Affinity for and interest in using AI and automation tools

  • Language skills (French, German, Italian, Spanish) are a plus, but not required

This role is unlikely to be a good match if you….

  • You are not comfortable with sales, pitching, and negotiating

  • Prefer to work outside of a team setting

  • Are not interested in a target-heavy role

  • Are not interested in art or the art market

We know no one is a perfect match on paper, so if you’re passionate about this role, please apply! We’re excited to learn how your skills, experiences, and insights could make a difference.
