Across the United States, 6 in 10 adults – or 133 million Americans, live with one or more chronic conditions. Chronic disease is today’s leading cause of death and disability in the US and the leading driver of the nation’s $4.1 trillion in annual healthcare costs. Patients who live with chronic conditions require far more touch points than our primary care physicians have time to deliver and the result is countless health emergencies and costly ER visits that could be prevented. Workforce shortages and lack of technologies make it difficult to give patients the attention they need.

At Cadence, our mission is to deliver life-changing care to over one million patients living with chronic disease by the end of the decade. We mitigate the impact of chronic disease by using technology and a world-class clinical team to remotely monitor, manage, and support patients at home. Together with our growing network of health system partners, we deliver guideline-directed care to tens of thousands of patients today while producing best-in-class clinical outcomes.

Cadence Solutions is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of our second flagship product: a care management platform that improves the quality of life and long-term health outcomes for patients living with chronic disease. With the growing success of our remote patient monitoring program, Cadence is well-positioned to be the first-mover in this space. This is a mission-critical leadership role – you’ll work closely with clinical, product, and design teams to bring the product from concept to launch—and through every iteration beyond.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for our next-generation care management platform.
  • Collaborate with Product, cross-functional counterparts, and customers to shape the roadmap and long-term strategy.
  • Leverage AI and automation to build a best-in-class product that delivers scalable, high-quality patient care.
  • Hire, lead, and grow a high-performing team of full-stack engineers.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of both frontend and backend services across the platform.
  • Continuously evolve engineering standards, tooling, and processes to foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and innovation.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in a people management role.
  • Experience leading the development of complex software products from 0→1— preferably in healthcare, enterprise SaaS, or another regulated space.
  • Able to operate strategically and tactically: comfortable presenting to execs and jumping into architecture or code reviews.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, product-driven environment rooted in trust, autonomy, and direct feedback.
  • Experience building robust backend systems with familiarity in modern cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), relational databases (Postgres/MySQL), and messaging systems (e.g., SQS, Kafka). Go experience is a big plus.

WHO WE ARE:

The work we do at Cadence each day changes lives and as such, the stakes and the pace are high. Our fully remote work environment values autonomy, curiosity, and experimentation. Our team is challenged with new opportunities daily. We are growing fast and want team members who are excited about tackling an endless list of big and complex problems. We seek ambitious individuals who are passionate about lifelong learning and eager to be part of a winning team that's shaping the future of healthcare. In return, we provide competitive total compensation packages with meaningful equity in one of the fastest growing healthtech companies in the US. If you're ready to make a difference and drive positive change, we invite you to join us at Cadence.
