About the Role

Support the privacy department by processing release of information (ROI)
requests and assist in the day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and fulfill requests for PHI from patients, insurers, and other authorized parties.

  • Provide excellent customer service to requestors with timely and professional responses.

  • Ensure all record requests are properly documented and stored in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Verify the identity of requestors and maintain confidentiality of PHI.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of PHI disclosures, requests, and denials.

  • Monitor and track PHI requests through the ROI system.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of databases and systems to track PHI disclosures.

  • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to privacy and data protection.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement privacy-related projects.

  • Assist in updating privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in privacy incident investigations by documenting the details and gathering additional information and artifacts as needed.

  • Maintain current knowledge related to applicable statutes, regulations, and standards necessary to perform the job.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Healthcare, Release of Information (ROI), or Privacy

  • Prior experience or familiarity with EHR systems

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is:

$66,000 - $90,000
