Job Description:
We are seeking an innovative, execution-focused Manager, Growth Finance to join Cityblock’s Strategic Finance team. In this role, you will serve as a Finance partner to our Growth & Commercial Strategy team, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate, negotiate, and recommend new deals. Your work will directly drive Cityblock’s expansion through new partnerships, markets, and products.
Responsibilities:
Synthesize inputs from Actuary, FP&A, Operators, Policy, and Growth to financially model new deals in a quantitatively rigorous and consistent manner, with a balanced view of upside opportunities and downside risks
Leverage your analyses to provide input on Cityblock’s negotiation strategy and the crafting of key contract language and terms
Lead communication of data and analysis to cross-functional, senior, and executive-level audiences, driving towards alignment and an ultimate “go / no go” decision on new deals
Partner with the Growth team to establish and codify the decision criteria for new market / contract launches, including financial performance and key contract terms
Support Implementation and Year 1 expense budgets and performance targets for new deals
Assess new product and corporate development opportunities in partnership with Cityblock’s Commercial Strategy team
Oversee complete budget/reforecast cycles for the finance team, demonstrating ability to set clear and tangible goals, review the work completed by the team, ensure achievement of the goals, and proactively navigate potential business risks
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field
5+ years in a business role with finance exposure (such as consulting, strategic finance, banking, VC/PE, FP&A, or business development at a company)
Ability to build financial models and slide presentations. Demonstrated ability to be methodical, thorough, and meticulous
Experience communicating financial information to senior and executive-level audiences, with the ability to adjust your communication style based on the seniority and interests of the audience. Experience working with operators and translating financial strategy into operational strategy
Exposure to, or interest in learning about, value-based care models and the national payer and risk-bearing provider landscape, as well as digital health trends and new entrants. Experience or interest in building the finance infrastructure and strategy of a fast-growing, complex company with an innovative business model

This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is:
$102,000 - $135,000 annually
