The Human Resources Generalist is an important member of PSA Germany for executing HR operations, projects and inititives with the US HR team across the company. This role will have the responsibility of execution of the HR initiatives at PSA with the HR Director. The HR Generalist will be expected to have a good perspective of the business, execute talent acquisition, review compensation, run payroll, headcount reporting, and various people-focused metrics, implement benefits, manage employee relations, support people development and performance management processes across the organization. Leveraging influencing skills, this role will support talent processes for the Business working with the HR Director.

The ideal candidate loves to build, thrives in ambiguity, is flexible and adaptable to change, moves quickly, and can demonstrate strong communication skills to deliver messages across all levels of the organization. This is an opportunity to join our organization in the beginning stages of huge expansion, while getting to manage and drive high impact people strategies in the fast growing collectibles space. This role requires bilingual fluency in both German and English.

This position reports to the US Director, HRBP, and will work out of our soon to be established office located in Frankfurt, Germany.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a trusted partner to the Business in Germany by using professional credibility and strong
  • relationships with the US HR team to influence key priorities on organizational issues that help the company and our employees grow
  • Utilize your bilingual skills (German and English) and bicultural background to stir robust communication between the Tokyo office and the headquarters
  • Execute the initiatives with impact to supporting organization-wide needs under the guidance by the Manager of Human Resources. Initiatives include: talent acquisition, benefits, payroll administration, reporting, compliance with regulations, HR system (Workday) oversight, compensation plan development, employee experience and retention, talent assessment, succession planning and employee relations.
  • Promote HR strategies with the Manager of Human Resources that align with the business go to market strategy focusing on the talent needed to execute on the vision
  • Leverage strong program management skills to collaborate with the HR functions to roll out various talent and people programs across the organization (compensation review, feedback cycles, engagement surveys and development programs, etc.)
  • Analyze and assess organizational "health" by looking at trends in performance, employee satisfaction, attrition, diversity, etc.
  • Manage on & off boarding process, payroll, social insurance, benefit administration and health administration with vendors.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience in a high-growth setting; strong preference for experience working in production-based or startup companies
  • Experience with dealing with overseas counter parties of HR functions, as well as cross-cultural experience in the multinational companies to execute HR tasks
  • Demonstrated experience working with a variety of employee groups and functions (operations, corporate, marketing or finance teams)
  • Experience with policy implementation, and employee relations, as well as knowledge of staffing and compensation strategies, practices and processes
  • Have an ability to drive projects through partnerships with multiple stakeholders in the Business and various HR functions
  • Pragmatic problem solver who can find root causes of issues and gain leadership support to address them
  • Proven ability to manage priorities among multiple stakeholders and multitask or re-prioritize as needed in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of German labor laws, statutes, etc. which govern employment policies and practices
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in both English (fluent) and German (fluent)
  • Must be authorized to work in Germany
