The Junior Sourcer will play a crucial role in identifying and attracting top-tier candidates for various public accounting roles within the organization and our partner firms. This position requires a general understanding of accounting functions and the recruiting process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for not just finding high-quality talent, but also maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates, and working closely with the recruiting team to meet hiring goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage passive candidates for accounting roles (e.g., Tax. Audit, Accountants, etc.) through online platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, databases), and social media.

  • Develop and maintain a talent pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future accounting roles. Build long-term relationships with potential candidates.

  • Conduct initial resume screenings and preliminary interviews to assess candidate qualifications, skills, and culture fit. Present candidates to the recruitment team with comprehensive profiles.

  • Assist in scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and handling other administrative duties related to the hiring process.

  • Work closely with the recruiting team to understand the specific requirements of each position, including technical skills, experience, and certifications.

  • Actively promote the company’s values, culture, and opportunities to attract high-quality accounting talent. Share company updates and news via social media and professional networks.

  • Conduct market research to identify top talent, understand industry trends, and map out potential candidates within specific skill sets or locations.

  • Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions, activities, and progress using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Provide regular updates to the recruiting team on sourcing progress.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of sourcing experience (including prior internship experience), ideally within finance or accounting recruitment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Familiarity with accounting roles and qualifications (CPA, CIA, EA, etc.). Understanding of accounting principles is a plus.

  • Proficient in using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and other sourcing tools. Experience with Boolean searches.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and attract passive candidates.

  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work closely with recruiters, HR, and hiring managers in a fast-paced environment.


This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.
