Objective:

The Human Resources Intern will support initiatives that promote a culture of operational excellence, employee development, and continuous improvement. This position provides exposure to human resources, organizational development, and process documentation efforts. Working closely with the Catalyst of Excellence, the intern will assist in aligning internal practices with the firm’s performance and people-focused strategies.

Essential Functions:

1. Assist with resume screenings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.

2. Help maintain and update internal documents, including job descriptions, process documentation, and training materials.

3. Support departmental filing, data entry, and administrative organization related to HR and excellence initiatives.

4. Collaborate with team members on optimizing internal workflows and employee development programs.

5. Support the Department of Excellence by coordinating schedules and coordinating organization initiatives to aid other teams with projects.

6. Track and monitor departmental metrics and initiatives, providing status updates and identifying areas for improvement.

7. Help document new procedures and process changes across departments for internal consistency.

8. Coordinate and participate in department events and training sessions.

9. Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling employee and organizational information.

10. Support cross-functional collaboration by assisting with meetings, note-taking, and follow-up coordination.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervision responsibilities. He or she will have the Catalyst of Excellence as a supervisor.

Position Expectations & Work Environment

This is a part-time internship position. The intern is expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to accommodate academic commitments. Work will be performed on-site during normal business hours in a professional office setting.

Location & Travel

This position is based at the Springfield, MO office. No travel is required.

Required Education & Experience

Actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
