The Regional Controller, Southeast Region will be focused on supporting our member firms in the Southeast Region with monthly close activities, financial reporting, and annual audit requirements. The Regional Controller will partner closely with the Manager, Accounting Integration on any new member firms to be added in the region as well. This role will partner with FP&A on the annual budget process for the Southeast Region firms. While this position will not initially have direct reports, the person will utilize our India HQ support staff for various daily, weekly & monthly operational tasks for the firms. This role is expected to travel to member firm locations as needed along with travel to the Tampa HQ once per quarter for team meetings; expect overall travel at 25%.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the monthly closure of a portfolio of firms in the Southeast region
Collect and measure financial data to analyze financial performance and present findings to leadership
Review the KPI and monthly results package including P&L and balance sheet
Prepare and coordinate financial reports, ensuring compliance with government regulations, company policies and operating agreements
Key player in assessment of monthly firm performance and provide insight into month-over-month variances
Manage and coach offshore accounting team in India to handle day-to-day accounting processes including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, AR, AP, etc.
Provide support to local operations teams including managing partners at the respective firms
Manage full cycle GL close and consolidations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience
CPA license is strongly preferred
10+ years of experience with demonstrated advancement in level and complexity of roles, including prior Controller experience
Experience managing full-cycle GL close for multiple entities
Prior work experience in fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial, and/or private equity-backed organizations is highly preferred
Multi-entity and acquisition experience strongly preferred
Experience leading a team of accountants and/or support staff members, including offshore support in other countries
Prior working experience with NetSuite or similar ERP software
Prior working experience with Ramp or similar AP software

In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations within the US and Southeast Region states and local municipalities

Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region as needed
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders
Demonstrates excellent judgement, discretion and professionalism
Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently and productively with minimal supervision
Working Conditions:
Full-time, remote
Occasional travel (approximately 25%) may be required
This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.
