Our partner firm, Savastano Kaufman based in Fair Lawn, NJ is hiring!

They’re currently seeking an experienced Tax and/or Audit Associate (Senior or Mid-Level) to join our growing team. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who brings well-rounded public accounting experience and enjoys both the variety and challenge of client-facing work in tax and assurance.

What You’ll Do

Tax Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for entities including partnerships, S-corps, and C-corps (including some international clients) as well as individual tax returns.

  • Assist in tax planning and compliance across various jurisdictions

  • Support clients with sales tax, multistate, and international reporting requirements

  • Research complex tax issues and prepare memos or recommendations


Audit & Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients

  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GAGAS

  • Assist clients with day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations

  • Evaluate internal controls and provide recommendations for improvements

  • Work with clients across industries such as healthcare, real estate, tech, manufacturing, not-for-profit, and more

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred

  • 2–6+ years of experience in public accounting (tax, audit, or both)

  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and tax law

  • Proficient in accounting and tax software (CCH ProSystem fx, CCH Engagement, QuickBooks, MS office, Excel, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing confidence

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple engagements

  • Eager to learn and grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with unlimited opportunities.

This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.

We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
