Our partner firm, RRBB based in Central New Jersey is hiring!

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Tax Manager to lead tax engagements for a diverse client base, including closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. This is a leadership role that blends technical expertise, team development, and client relationship management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the review of federal and state tax filings for partnerships (Form 1065), S corporations (Form 1120S), high-net-worth individuals (Form 1040), fiduciary trusts (Form 1041), and estate tax returns (Form 706), including multi-state and composite filings.

  • Oversee the conversion of client trial balances into tax workpapers, ensuring proper treatment of timing differences and Schedule M adjustments.

  • Conduct and supervise in-depth tax research and analysis on complex issues related to federal, state, and local income taxes, sales/use tax, and international reporting requirements.

  • Provide guidance on FBAR (FinCEN 114) compliance, including foreign account analysis and coordination with clients on reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate with partners and clients on proactive tax planning strategies, entity structuring, and risk mitigation opportunities.

  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff, providing technical training, detailed review feedback, and ongoing performance coaching.

  • Support business development by building client relationships, identifying new service opportunities, and contributing to proposal development when needed.

  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure client compliance and identify opportunities for planning and savings.

  • Ensure deadlines are met with a high level of quality and adherence to firm standards.


Qualifications:

  • CPA designation required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation a plus.

  • 7+ years of public accounting experience with increasing responsibility, including prior management of staff and engagements.

  • Strong technical knowledge in flow-through entity and individual taxation, with multi-state and high-net-worth exposure.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficient in tax research tools (e.g., RIA Checkpoint, CCH, BNA) and tax preparation/review software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.

We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $135,000.00-$165,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
