About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Alliances & Consultant Relations to lead the development and management of our growing brand within the employer consulting and broker network. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between Fabric and our valued consultants—building strong relationships, driving engagement, and expanding our reach within the consultant community. You will play a key role in ensuring Fabric is the preferred solution for their clients.
As a Director of Alliances & Consultant Relations, you will:
- Relationship Building & Strategy:
- Develop and nurture relationships with key contacts in the consulting community, building a deep understanding of Fabric’s capabilities and value proposition.
- Partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to identify opportunities within consultant relationships and ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, etc.) to leverage consultant insights and feedback to inform our employer strategy.
- Explore potential partnership opportunities with complementary healthcare and benefits vendors.
- Consultant Engagement & Enablement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver compelling consultant-facing messaging and resources.
- Create tailored content (e.g., playbooks, presentations, case studies) to increase consultant understanding and support their client conversations.
- Coordinate and participate in consultant-sponsored events to strengthen relationships and identify business development opportunities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in strategic account management, business development, or consulting, with a strong focus on healthcare.
- Experience at a benefits consulting or brokerage firm is strongly preferred, as is previous experience in this type of role at a startup.
- Established relationships with, and understanding of, firms such as Mercer, Aon, WTW, Alliant, Gallagher, and Lockton.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to establish trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Adept at social selling and networking to expand our visibility and reach within the consultant community.
- A "go-getter" mentality with a strong drive to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Passion for enabling teams to sell a solution that delivers results and improves healthcare outcomes.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence across departments.
