ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Teams and Territory Account Manager at Fanatics, you will be responsible for managing all sales activities with assigned teams and/or within your assigned territory to achieve revenue targets. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and identify new business opportunities to drive growth. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of revenue and marketplace management, merchandising, promotion development, complexities of the supply chain, and best practices to gain the customer support for new solutions and opportunities.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan to achieve sales targets and drive business growth for a major sports team or large territories.
- Build and maintain high visibility relationships as the primary point of contact for team and league partners.
- Create and present sales reports and forecasts to senior leaders.
- Research and understand market trends and competition.
- Analyze large quantities of sales performance metrics spanning multiple leagues and states.
- Communicate recommendations effectively to the appropriate level of leadership within leadership team of top retailers.
- Understand customer needs and provide solutions to meet those needs.
- Regularly collaborate with cross-functional partners in merchandising, licensing, planning, inventory, and order fulfillment to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with sales operations team to analyze weekly POS for key accounts, present proposed new orders for replenishment/chase and drive sales opportunities
- Communicate seasonal selling updates and Go-to-Market milestones to multiple layers of leadership both internally and externally
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Drive weekly meetings to address orderbook updates, recommended replenishment opportunities, Hot Market chase.
- Develop leadership ability by leading stretch assignments and mentoring junior sales representatives.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships that resulted in sales growth
- Strong analytical skills to be able to understand and interpret account financials
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Passion for professional or college sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NCAA)
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed
WHERE YOU’LL WORK AND WHAT’S REQUIRED
- Based out of the upper Midwest
- Servicing and managing accounts in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
