Fanatics Collectibles is integrating with Fanatics’ global digital sports platform – which includes 900 sports relationships and 81+ million reachable fans – to reimagine the collectibles business for the 21st century.
Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an Artist Partnerships Senior Coordinator to play a critical role in the strategic expansion, management, and optimization of our Sketch Card & Original Art Programs within our Entertainment portfolio. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, stakeholder management, and operational excellence to deliver high-quality, hand-drawn cards that enhance our brand value. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to build and nurture high-impact partnerships with artists and licensors globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, negotiation, and management of legally binding agreements for artists across products, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Must have working knowledge of DocuSign.
- Identify opportunities for program expansion, evaluating market trends and aligning with company growth objectives.
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives to optimize artist onboarding, procurement, and contract lifecycle management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between artists and internal departments, including Product Development, Marketing, Legal, and Operations, to align on program objectives and execution.
- Partner with Finance and Legal teams to oversee budget management and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Oversee the end-to-end artist lifecycle, from initial engagement and contracting to artwork delivery and payment processing.
- Utilize advanced reporting tools to monitor program performance, artist productivity, and cost-effectiveness, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Ensure the integrity of the artist database, leveraging automation tools (Airtable, Formstack) to enhance data accuracy and operational scalability.
- Manage risk by proactively addressing compliance issues, legal deadlines, and licensor approvals.
- Represent Fanatics Collectibles at key industry events, trade shows, and conferences to attract new artist talent and establish strategic partnerships.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier artists, studios, and licensors to position the company as a leader in the sketch card space.
- Leverage knowledge of the entertainment, film, and comic book industries to identify new creative opportunities and collaborations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Dallas / Sunnyvale, TX based.
- Must be able to lift & carry up to 25 pounds.
- 4+ years of experience in artist management, licensing, entertainment partnerships, or project management in the sports/entertainment industry.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and executing high-value contracts with creative talent.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset to assess program performance and drive strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/Word), Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and Airtable/Formstack.
- Ability to travel for conferences and art events to engage with key stakeholders and source new talent.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about film, comic books, entertainment, pop culture, and sports industries.
- Solid understanding of art fundamentals, including color theory, artistic mediums, style development, and composition principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field required
