Job Overview:
As a Sr. Product Line Manager (SPLM) at Fanatics Brands this role is the expert in the creation of consumer product. Leading across functional teams like product development, design, sourcing, and others to translate consumer insights into trend right and commercially viable body assortments, segmented by channel.
How you will make an impact:
- Use your expert knowledge and command of trend and marketplace insights to build commercially viable and relevant product to be passed over to league merchants
- Seasonally brief the design team on build out, for product to be used across all channels, segmented product according to channel via fabric and trend packages
- You will drive key product concepts, including the creation of key story product that generates an emotional connection to the brand and consumer.
- Analysis of competitor landscape will help drive your ability to build new growth opportunities
- You will translate fan consumer insights into commercially viable and relevant stories.
- You have ownership of chassis/body margins and ultimate business portfolio management, including but not limited to regional pricing, SKU management.
- Lead and represent as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support company’s growth and strategic initiatives
- Presentations to the merchandise and leadership team, as assigned to you.
- Adoption rate, velocity and key style metrics will be levers you use to impact a growing business.
- You will recommend and drive ecommerce and wholesale MSRP to achieve category margin and profitability.
- You will present your body product line to the merchant teams and leadership, to ensure adoption across all leagues.
- Lead and develop a small team of product creators, supporting and mentoring team members in areas like presentation, process, and culture
- Possible travel, including overseas, account and league reviews
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Manufacturing, or related field; or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience, 5+ years of experience in retail or wholesale is acceptable without a degree.
- Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, adapt to change and maintain composure under pressure.
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude towards team, vendors and clients
- Expert experience with fashion, color, and trend analysis.
- Understanding of the product creation process is required.
- Product merchandising/creation experience of at least 5 years
- Strong understanding of merchandising retail math/financial skills
- Intermediate skill level in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as familiarity with data warehouses and database management
- Experience in identifying the right products to meet brief requirements
- Sports fan a plus
- Experience in using and utilizing sales data to analyze and steer a business
- Ability to travel up to 35% of the job
