Job Description
- Support the end-to-end technical accounting review of complex customer arrangements and newly introduced products under ASC 606.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate new and non-standard arrangements, identifying accounting implications prior to execution.
- Prepare and maintain detailed revenue recognition memos and whitepapers to support internal stakeholders and external audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure revenue reporting aligns with internal forecasts and external guidance.
- Monitor the Company’s revenue-related disclosures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Stay current on evolving accounting guidance and proactively assess its impact on the Company’s revenue recognition policies and procedures.
- Identify, design, and implement automation solutions to streamline revenue recognition processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve the efficiency of technical accounting workflows.
- Perform revenue share calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries related to revenue recognition, platform transactions, and associated accruals.
- Review and interpret customer and vendor contracts to assist with accurate revenue recognition and financial disclosure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a revenue-focused or high-growth environment. Big Four public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly around revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software (Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred).
- Experience with data and reporting tools such as Snowflake and Tableau a strong plus.
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in iGaming, digital commerce, or platform-based businesses.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative in process improvement and automation.
- Ability to write and interpret SQL or other data queries to support revenue analysis and reconciliations.
- Strong reporting background, with experience building or validating dashboards and ensuring alignment between operational and financial data.
Salary range is listed in USD; ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. *Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000 (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed).
