About the team:
Fanatics Collectibles is a new company working at the intersection of collectibles and technology. Backed by some of the best investors, sports properties, and operators in the world, we’re integrating with Fanatics’ global digital sports platform (inclusive of 900 sports relationships and more than 80 million fans) to reimagine the collectibles business.
About the role:
The Accounts Payable Specialist, Vendor Management will support the Accounts Payable Manager, Accounts Payable Leads, and the Accounts Payable team by managing vendor-related tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role will ensure efficient, accurate, and timely vendor support while assisting or leading various accounting, audit, and financial functions for Accounts Payable. The Accounts Payable Specialist, Vendor Management will provide reliable customer service to both vendors and internal employees, ensuring smooth and effective communication and operations. This role is an individual contributor role.
What you’ll be doing:
Vendor Accounts:
- Establish and maintain all new and existing vendor accounts.
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable (AP) team and vendors to resolve vendor setup issues.
- Periodically update and request vendor W-9 forms in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist in 1099 reporting and related compliance projects.
- Address vendor inquiries and concerns via the vendor help desk.
Banking Information:
- Contact vendors to facilitate enrollment in Wire or ACH payment methods.
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the department as needed.
- Lead and assist the AP team in gathering documentation for audits.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support company objectives.
- Take on special projects and other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
- High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred
- 0-2 years of experience in vendor master setup and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt to change management, excellent organizational skills, and time management
- Successful working in a fast-paced environment & can shift priorities quickly
- Ability to navigate and communicate within all levels of the organization
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable systems
- Experience with Oracle Fusion, EBS, and D365 is preferred
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles, practices, and theories
- Team-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals
- Proactive: Self-starter who consistently takes initiative and gets tasks done independently
- Innovative: Able to apply logic, creativity, and context to develop effective solutions
