Job Summary:
Fanatics Collectibles is looking to add you to the team – an experienced, talented new colleague to fill the position of Manager, Legal – Talent Execution Specialist. You will be working with Topps’ domestic and international teams working closely with senior leadership. The emphasis on this role will be focused on managing and providing legal supervision and organization of the autograph process – this role will be cross-functional and support all business groups across all areas. As Manager, Legal – Talent Execution Specialist, you will lead and play a critical role in directing legal and business processes surrounding the administration of existing and new athlete contracts across all sports and entertainment properties. In this role, successful candidates will ideally have experience in managing all stages of the contracting process including reviewing and drafting legal documentation, building legal and operational process and creating advanced IT databases. This position requires a go-getter, sleeve-roller, strategic thinker and practical executer with strong leadership and teamwork skills and extensive and diverse expertise in contracting with super strong technology capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine, organize and implement clear process, organize and maintain document and data management database ensuring data and documents are executed and filed properly and records are accurately maintained and accessible.
- Coordinate process cross-functionally between Brand, Operations, Athlete Partnerships, Finance and Legal departments to implement fulfillment of talent obligations, information database and payments.
- Acts as liaison between company and any/all interested parties to contractual agreements.
- Conduct regular and continuous review and document audits to identify any gaps and implement appropriate mitigation process.
- Train and mentor internal stakeholders on autograph processes, obligations, and database usage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Juris Doctor / legal studies focus / minor preferred.
- 3-5 years’ of operational, technology and process building with deep understanding of legal documentation and drafting.
- Experience advising on, creating process, organizing, and maintaining contract management databases. Operational consulting and execution a plus.
- Deep familiarity and ability to create and operate an online database platform.
- Experience within and knowledge of the trading cards / collectibles and sports landscape is a plus.
