Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is looking for a technical recruiter contractor to lead full-cycle hiring across UK, Ireland, and U.S. engineering teams, with a strong focus on Platform Engineering, Quality Engineering, and niche Software Engineering roles. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and can partner closely with technical leaders to deliver exceptional talent.
This is a contract position.

Focus Areas: Platform Engineering, Quality Engineering (QE), and Software Engineering (Backend, Full-Stack, Frontend, Mobile, Data)
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting across a wide range of engineering roles, with emphasis on platform, QE, and highly niche SWE positions.
- Partner closely with hiring managers, technical leaders, and executives to define hiring strategies and deliver top-tier talent.
- Be creative and resourceful in sourcing — leverage unconventional channels, talent communities, events, and deep market research to find hard-to-reach candidates.
- Build and nurture strong pipelines across UK/IRE and U.S. markets, adapting strategies to different technical ecosystems.
- Maintain ATS accuracy, reporting, and recruiting metrics with a data-driven approach.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience rooted in transparency, speed, and relationship-building.
- Use data to drive decisions — define funnel KPIs, track pipeline health, and identify bottlenecks to continuously improve processes.
- Identify process gaps and propose scalable hiring solutions that support a high-growth engineering organization.
- Lead offer strategy, manage compensation conversations, and close top technical talent in a competitive global market.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally supporting high-growth tech, engineering orgs, or globally distributed teams.
- Proven success hiring for niche engineering roles — especially Platform, QE, and SWE (Backend, Full-stack, Frontend, Mobile, Data).
- Strong understanding of technical stacks, systems design concepts, and the ability to speak credibly with engineers.
- Experience sourcing and closing candidates across multiple regions (UK, Ireland, and U.S.).
- Track record of exceeding hiring goals and building strong partnerships with engineering leaders.
- Strategic, organized, proactive, and highly accountable — able to operate independently with strong ownership.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; able to coach hiring teams and drive alignment.
- Must be based in Eastern Standard Time (EST) to effectively support UK/IRE and U.S. collaboration.
The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. *Salary range is listed in USD; actual salary will vary based on location. *Salary Range: $81,700 - $$133,750 per year annualized salary (actual salary will be determined in part by a successful candidate’s geographic location).
