Director, Strategic Finance

Fanatics is seeking a Director, Strategic Finance to join our growing Finance team. This role will play a critical part in driving financial planning, strategic forecasting, commercial decision making, performance management, and analytics for the Fanatics Ecosystem.
The Director will own key elements of the long-term financial model, operational KPIs, and executive reporting, while partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to support informed decision-making and continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead Fanatics Ecosystem financial planning, forecasting, and long-range modeling, partnering with executive leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable financial plans and KPIs.
- Own and deliver key financial reporting across Fanatics App, FanCash, Fanatics ONE, and Fan Data Services, including monthly and quarterly business reviews and materials for board and executive leadership.
- Define, track, and refine operational KPIs to support performance management and ensure alignment with financial plans.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Growth, and Commercial teams to evaluate investments, pricing, and growth initiatives, ensuring disciplined capital allocation and ROI.
- Build and scale FP&A processes, models, and systems, improving forecast accuracy, scenario planning, and decision-making in a fast-moving environment.
- Partner with analytics on consolidated business metrics reporting, including establishing consistent, cross-functional definitions and improving data integrity.
- Partner on ad hoc financial analyses tied to key strategic initiatives and commercial projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or investor relations; experience in a public or multinational company preferred.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial systems and BI tools is a plus.
- Proven experience preparing and presenting materials to senior management, with strong attention to detail and data visualization skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing strategic thinking with execution.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members preferred.
The base salary range for this role is $200,000 per year - $225,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award.
