The Associate Director of Global Sourcing will lead and inspire our Asia-based sourcing team, overseeing the identification, development, and management of strategic sourcing initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the right products at the right time—meeting quality, sustainability, and profitability standard, while consistently creating a delightful experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Asia Sourcing Office Leadership:
Oversee the daily operations of the Asia team, ensuring efficient execution of key sourcing, product development, and vendor management goals, while hiring, inspiring, and developing our team. Responsible for the office budget and spend. - Asia-Based Sourcing Oversight:
Lead and manage sourcing resources and vendors based in Asia. Define and develop regional/global manufacturing strategies, ensuring capabilities, capacities, processes and costs—including product development, color, fabric, sample management, costing—are in alignment with global strategies. Through KPIs ensure fact-based vendor management and development to grow with the key performers. Divest from low performers and right size the source base in accordance with business needs. - Vendor Management:
Direct the execution and development of both direct and agent vendor relationships. Ensure vendor compliance with on-time in full delivery, quality, cost, sustainability, speed. Serve as advocate and ambassador of the Fanatic brand in region, reinforcing Fanatic’s integrity, values and aesthetic to all vendors and potential partners. - Strategic Alignment & Execution:
Partner with global cross-functional teams to ensure sourcing execution is aligned with overall corporate strategy and global sourcing vision. Build relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) to drive change and results - Operational Excellence:
Serve as the in-region liaison for high-priority problem-solving and business continuity, supporting global initiatives and local execution with agility and precision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Textile or Process Engineering preferred. Proven experience in apparel or textiles in Asia preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in global sourcing, preferably Asia-based, with strong vendor management skills. Brand experience is a plus.
- Proven experience leading large, multi-country teams, with a strong track record of inspiring, developing, and scaling talent.
- Proven experience leading sourcing operations across global regions, with a strong emphasis on Asia.
- Strong background in apparel and accessories product development, production management, and planning, with deep knowledge of the interdependencies between delivery, quality, sustainability, and profitability; experienced in driving manufacturing excellence and applying Lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated success in managing vendor partnerships and optimizing supply chain performance
- Strategic thinker with operational acumen and exceptional leadership capabilities
- Experience reviewing financials and providing direction based on financial decisions
- Advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with expertise in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, and PLM systems to drive strategic sourcing and business outcomes.
- Ability to clearly communicate up and down to the different levels of the Fanatics organization
- Strong negotiation, organizational and facilitation skills
- Ability to operate with uncertainty and to adjust approach based on business needs
