The Talent Partnerships Planner, NASE is responsible for the coordination of signings between athletes, celebrities, personalities and Topps. The position acts as the center point for all coordination between talent, agencies, representatives and Topps in the procurement of autographs for trading card products. This person will work closely with internal business units including Project Management, Product Development, Operations, Finance, e-Commerce, Digital, Marketing, as well as daily correspondence with external agencies and Topps witness representatives. This person will work closely with Project Management to ensure that autograph procurement is aligned with all production schedules and product deadlines.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between Topps and agents/talent for the coordination of signings.
- Manage and coordinate with Topps witness representatives and talent contacts for autograph signings.
- Spearhead strategy and tactics for optimizing autograph signings throughout the product calendar year.
- Collaborate with Project Management to strategize, plan and manage product production schedules and specific product deadlines.
- Prioritize and multitask projects and card signings based on deadlines and milestone calendar dates.
- Lead cross functional team meetings with Product Dev, Project Management and Talent Licensing on a weekly basis.
- Review product checklists with Product Dev for autograph requirements.
- Coordinate with Purchase Order Coordinator and Accounts Payable to ensure contracted parties are paid for all autograph signings in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance to contractual obligations ensuring all services are executed.
- Foster and maintain relationships with agents, marketing reps, licensors, and industry contacts.
- Coordinate talent activations and marketing/licensing events.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in related field (sports/entertainment industry, project management)
- Candidates should be self-confident, outgoing, personable, energetic, proactive, organized and highly detail oriented.
- Skilled in handling and maintaining sensitive data and confidentiality.
- Must like a fast-paced environment, and have ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and thrive in changing circumstances.
- Exceptional written and oral communication.
- Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong passion and comprehensive knowledge of film, trading cards, comic books, entertainment industry, and pop culture a plus
In Los Angeles, the salary range for this position is $64,400-$78,200, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In New York City, the salary range is $70,000-$85,000. These salary ranges are specific to Los Angeles or NYC and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
