About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Data & Analytics to take a lead building our product analytics capabilities and team. This person will report to our Director of Data & Analytics and partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Design to oversee analytics for large, high-complexity product areas at Fora.

In this role you will be a true player-coach, managing a small but growing team (starting with one analyst). You will role model what it means to do great product analytics through your own output, while simultaneously providing feedback and coaching to existing analysts and product managers to scale your approach. This role is an opportunity for someone who knows what best-in-class product analytics looks like, and how to make it happen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical leadership, partnering with senior leaders in product, engineering, and design to define success metrics, guide measurement strategy, and validate hypotheses through data.
  • Perform hands-on technical data work, building performance measurement systems, validating hypotheses, and enabling operations.
  • Design and maintain scalable data models, decision tools, and analytics infrastructure to empower self-serve analytics and derive insight.
  • Lead deep-dive analyses that identify opportunities, inform strategy, and measure the impact of product initiatives and feature releases.
  • Influence decision making in cross-functional pods through effective visualization, presentation, and written communication of your findings and recommendations.
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts (starting with one direct report) to deliver high impact insights by providing strategic direction and hands-on support.
  • Contribute to broader Data team strategy, project prioritization, and the continuous evolution of analytics best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in analytics, data science, or a related field within data. Experience in SaaS or marketplace products is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in a people management role.
  • Strong technical acumen, with expertise in SQL and experience with modern data tools and workflows (e.g., dbt, Python, BigQuery, Omni, Hex, or equivalents).
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and dig into the data, setting the standard for analytical excellence and curiosity.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor data analysts, effectively manage performance, and build highly motivated, engaged teams.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, including the ability to break down complex projects, anticipate risks, and deliver consistently high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience running experimentation and causal inference methods, including A/B testing design, execution, and analysis.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights across all levels of stakeholder (business & technical).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in an early- to mid-stage startup environment where ambiguity and pace are part of the fun.
  • A collaborative, empathetic leadership style that emphasizes humility, openness to feedback, accountability, and continuous learning.

Compensation

Compensation for this role varies based on experience, with an indicative range of $140k–$190k + equity. Final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as we’re considering multiple levels for this role.

  • Unlimited vacation
  • Health Insurance (including an option completely covered by Fora HQ)
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Wellhub Memberships
  • 401k plan with company match
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Stock Options

This role is based in our beautiful New York City office (Tribeca/Fidi) with lots of natural light and great views.
