About the role

Ramp’s People Operations Team is looking for an Administrative Assistant to help the team manage the pre-hire and onboarding process, as well as assist in other administrative tasks as needed. This is a temporary, 3-month contract position, with the possibility to extend the contract based on business needs.

What you'll do

  • Facilitate smooth onboarding experiences for new hires and contractors, managing HRIS profiles, conducting I-9 verifications and background checks

  • Prepare new hire announcement slides and Slack messages

  • Place 'swag' orders for new hires

  • Process hourly payroll

  • Assist in answering tier 1 internal helpdesk tickets for internal employees

  • Identify opportunities for automation and continued process improvements for a rapidly scaling team

  • Additional administrative tasks as needed

What you'll need

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism

  • Experience, exposure, or demonstrated strong interest in Human Resources

  • Comfortable with Slack and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

  • Previous administrative experience

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems; previous Paylocity experience is a plus

  • Experience managing and answering ticket queues with a demonstrated SLA

  • Prior experience at a tech company is a plus
