The Role

Rize powers 600+ academic programs for over 115 colleges seeking innovative ways to grow enrollment and improve student outcomes. We have built an incredible team, all working toward our primary goal: creating an educational product that will transform the college experience by increasing student transparency and ROI.

We are seeking a Head of Marketing to lead a team of 5 highly-motivated and talented marketers across Product Marketing, Growth, Lifecycle, and Brand. As Rize’s Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for revenue goals that span a B2B2C revenue engine. This includes the lead generation, conversion and retention of college partners, as well as the onboarding and retention of tens of thousands of students at those colleges.

You will be responsible for organizing and leading a Marketing team toward goals and metrics that impact the entire revenue lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Team leadership - Foster a high-standards, high-support marketing team that collaborates well as a team and cross-functionally with other departments. Build personal and team accountability toward goals.

  • Define, standardize, and maintain metrics - Establish consistent, well-documented metric definitions to ensure alignment across the revenue team. Ensure process hygiene in CRM and analytics tools to create a foundation of testing and iteration.

  • Brand stewardship - Collaborate cross-functionally to build and manage Rize’s brand in the market. As a B2B2C company, Rize’s brand must resonate with our partner colleges and the students we serve on their behalf.

  • Top of funnel lead generation - Optimize existing lead generation and channels. Develop new channels to maximize marketing qualified leads.

  • Sales enablement - Support Rize’s new business and upsell motions to enhance win rate, average contract value and deal velocity.

  • Partner retention + growth - Grow Net Revenue Retention in collaboration with the Partner Success team through retention and upsells.

  • Student registrations - Oversee significant growth in the number of students taking Rize courses through a focus on student onboarding and retention. Thoughtfully build student registrations in a B2B2C motion that prioritizes alignment with our college partners.

Qualifications

  • You have 10+ years of experience in Marketing, including 3+ years of management experience.

  • Expertise with B2B2C revenue motions.

  • Experience selling a category creating product.

  • Data-driven and able to identify blockers and opportunities within the funnel.

  • Obsessed with building a high-trust, high-effort, high-performance team.

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about Rize’s mission.

  • Exhibits a high standard of personal accountability. You are a doer.

  • NYC preferred, remote okay (we are a remote-first company but would love you to come in 2-3x/week most weeks if you are based in NYC)

Compensation

Compensation will vary with experience, but a rough range will be:

  • Total Cash: $175,000 - $250,000 (80% Base / 20% Incentive)

  • Equity: 5,000 - 10,000 shares
