About the team + role
As Robinhood Crypto continues to expand, we are hiring our first Chief Risk Officer (“CRO”) in Lithuania. The CRO must be a resident in Lithuanian and will be responsible for the oversight and management of Robinhood Crypto Europe’s Risk Management program. The CRO will be responsible for ensuring all risk management requirements are met by local laws and regulations, including MIFID, and once promulgated, Lithuania’s adoption of the EU’s Markets in Crypto Asset Regulations. The CRO will build out the risk and outsourcing management programs with support from the Robinhood Risk Management team, and collaborate globally with Robinhood’s shared services team that support, manage, and grow the Robinhood Crypto business and its current and future offerings.

What you’ll do
- Implementation of the risk management function and coordinating the risk management processes of the Robinhood Crypto Europe
- Creating and monitoring Risk Appetite Statements and Key Risk Indicators
- Overseeing and coordinating Risk & Control Self Assessments for Robinhood Crypto Europe
- Oversight and control of the ICT and security risk management system
- Reviewing and reporting on risks and incidents and maintaining associated registers
- Reporting significant risk events , breaches and routine risk reporting to the Board
- Conducting regular risk monitoring and escalating identified risks and control issues to the Board
- Collaborating with global risk teams to develop and mature Robinhood risk management standards and methodologies
- Identifying, assessing and monitoring outsourcing risks
- Ensuring proper and compliant outsourcing process and oversight of it
- Daily oversight of the outsourced functions and relationships with outsource service providers
What you bring
- 6+ years building and executing risk management programs for a financial services or cryptocurrency entity
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience building, designing, or deploying risk programs or specialities, such as:
- Key Risk Indicators
- Risk and Control Self Assessments
- Risk Appetite
- Outsourcing Risk Management
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
- ICT Risk Management
- Interest and experience in cryptocurrency products, blockchain technology, and financial instruments
- Excellent English and Lithuanian written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter and ability to work independently and collaboratively across functional teams and locations
- Flexibility and adaptability working across global time zones in hybrid work environment
- Experience working with and reporting to regulators and executive leadership

The gross monthly pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job related factors such as education, qualifications, experience, business needs, or market demands. Applicants must be based in Lithuania. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
