About Savvy:
Wealth management is a $545 billion industry in the US, yet remains archaic and inefficient with low technology penetration. 75% of financial advisors don’t offer digital communication beyond email, and 62% still build financial plans manually in Excel. This leads to a poor client experience and results in financial advisors spending over 70% of their time on non-client facing, manual work.
Savvy is changing that. We’re building the most advisor-centric platform in wealth management: a digital-first solution that modernizes human financial advice. Advisors who partner with Savvy tap into AI-powered software, automated sales and marketing, and seamless back office workflows to scale faster and spend more time with clients.
We’ve raised over $105M to date from Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, Canvas Ventures, Mark Casady (former LPL Financial CEO), and other top-tier investors. Our team is made up of repeat founders and operators who’ve helped build Airbnb, Square, Brex, Carta, Facebook, $200B+ RIAs, and more.
Savvy is at a pivotal point in its growth trajectory, having established strong product-market fit in providing a modern platform to financial advisors. We’ve surpassed $2.2 billion in AUM in less than three years, grown 600%+ in the last 18 months, and are entering the next phase of the company which involves rapid expansion of our product offering and continued revenue growth. Come help us scale!
We’re looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team. You’ll work directly with large financial advisors transitioning to Savvy, helping design and build the integrations, data flows, and product experiences that make their migration seamless. You’ll spend time with customers, learn their systems deeply, and turn their needs into scalable software — all while operating with urgency and empathy.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with advisors and internal stakeholders to understand onboarding requirements, migrate data, and build custom solutions that accelerate their success on Savvy
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle of these initiatives from discovery and design through implementation, deployment, and iteration
Produce high-quality, maintainable, production-ready code that balances customer urgency with long-term scalability
Partner closely with Product, Design, and Operations teams to translate real customer needs into platform improvements
Debug, diagnose, and resolve live issues in collaboration with clients and internal teams
Contribute to tooling, automation, and process improvements that make future advisor migrations faster and more sustainable
Travel within the United States as needed (approximately 3–4 times per quarter) for customer migrations and collaboration sessions, typically 2 days each
Please note, we expect folks to work in office Tuesday-Thursday with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
Must have:
5+ years of experience building and scaling production web applications
Strong full-stack proficiency including web frameworks (Rails preferred), front-end frameworks and libraries ( React preferred), and SQL databases
Strong experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and other tools to collect and mutate data in customer-friendly formats
Proven ability to collaborate in fast-moving, cross-functional startup environments with excellent technical communication skills
Comfort working in ambiguous, customer-driven environments and balancing rapid delivery with maintainable engineering
Nice to have:
Experience in fintech or wealth management, especially around data migration, integrations, or advisor operations
Experience leveraging AI directly and various AI tools to translate data and integrate disparate systems, including those without APIs
Prior customer-facing engineering experience (e.g., forward-deployed, professional services, or implementation engineering)
Additional Information:

Benefits:

Access to counseling for stress management, dependent care, nutrition, fitness, legal, and financial issues (Guardian WorkLifeMatters EAP)
Compensation Range: $165K - $226K
