Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of all accounting reporting and analysis related to inventory gross margin and product cost
  • Work with production, logistics, and tech departments to establish accurate costing for all product styles and channels
  • Monitor inventory balances and report on inventory adjustments as well as cost of goods sold
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries related to inventory and COGS to record inventory movements and accruals for inventory in transit
  • As part of monthly close, ensure inventory are properly valued and reserved for under US GAAP, including evaluation of slow-moving, excess and obsolete inventory
  • Prepare fluctuation analysis between budgeted, prior periods, and actual gross margins
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for all inventory related accounts and assist in developing various reports that suits the business growth
  • Understand and document the company’s end-to-end inventory processes
  • Maintain internal controls and assist in preparing the related information and proper documentation for auditors
  • Oversee the 3-way match process and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Supervise off-shore resources to achieve accurate and timely data entry of daily transactions
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as necessary

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience with prior knowledge of inventory management, preferably in the apparel industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA Qualification Preferred
  • Effective and professional communication skills, and project management skills
  • Prior experience with NetSuite preferred

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 / year
