This Senior Accountant position will be primarily focused on accounting for all aspects of our Wholesale business. Responsibilities include managing our Accounts Receivable team, accounting for all aspects of our wholesale business, documenting processes and procedures, ensuring data accuracy, supporting financial close, collaborating with departments for reliable reporting and compliance, and providing analysis for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include maintaining accounting records for the wholesale business, tracking receivables, revenues, and expenses, and preparing invoices and general ledger entries.
  • Review, document, and enhance close procedures prepared by our Accounts Receivable team.
  • Develop a wholesale processes and procedures handbook for accounting. Suggest and implement improvements to existing accounting processes.
  • Review and account for contracts with new customers. Onboard new customers into our ERP and receivables insurance policy.
  • Lead meetings with our sales and operations departments regarding wholesale activities, including reviewing aged receivable balances and sales allowance chargebacks.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate supporting workpapers for month-end analysis.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, including but not limited to the following: revenue, accounts receivable, related A/R and sales reserves, expense accruals, other current assets, and other liabilities
  • Perform month-end expense cutoff procedures.
  • Support and supervise operational accounting functions (AR/AP).
  • Assist in supporting the year-end audit and quarterly cutoff.
  • Assist with retail entity accounting.
  • Perform analysis over P&L account classification and prepare monthly close flux analysis
  • Assist with review of staff accountants journal entries and reconciliations
  • Ad hoc responsibilities and reports as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 4+ years in an accounting role
  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP software is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across departments
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiar with internal control systems and procedures

Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 / year
