Position Summary
The HR Generalist serves as a key partner to employees and managers, supporting core HR programs including employee relations, performance management, talent processes, and HR operations. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is ready to operate with increasing autonomy while still collaborating closely with senior People & Culture leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Manager Support
· Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, leave of absence, performance, and workplace concerns.
· Support managers with employee relations matters, documentation, and performance conversations, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
· Interpret and apply company policies, employment laws, and best practices to provide clear and consistent guidance.
Performance & Talent Processes
· Support performance review cycles, including timeline management, manager guidance, and process integrity.
· Assist with salary review cycles and provide input to talent assessments and succession planning discussions.
· Partner with leaders to support employee development and engagement initiatives.
Recruitment & Onboarding
· Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support recruitment efforts and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
· Assist with offer processes, new hire orientation, and onboarding coordination.
HR Operations & Compliance
· Administer and support HR policies and procedures; assist in developing and rolling out new processes as the business scales.
· Support payroll and benefits administration in partnership with People Operations, serving as an employee resource for related questions.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, flagging risks and recommending updates as needed.
· Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Culture & Engagement
· Support People & Culture initiatives that reinforce SKIMS’ values, inclusion efforts, and employee engagement.
· Stay current on HR trends and bring forward ideas to improve processes, systems, and employee experience.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; HR certification (PHR/SPHR) a plus.
· 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
· Strong working knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
· Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and talent processes.
· Apparel, retail, or consumer brand experience preferred.

Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000 / year
