Role Overview
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced EDI Manager to own and scale our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations across wholesale and franchise partners. This role is critical to ensuring seamless vendor onboarding, accurate purchase order flow, timely invoicing, and issue resolution across all EDI transactions.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, technically fluent in EDI platforms, and comfortable partnering cross-functionally with Supply Chain, IT, Finance, and external vendors to keep data moving cleanly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Onboarding & Enablement
- Lead end-to-end onboarding of new wholesale and franchise partners onto EDI
- Coordinate EDI requirements, mappings, timelines, and certifications with vendors and internal teams
- Manage testing cycles to ensure successful go-live for all transaction sets
EDI Operations & Transaction Management
- Own daily EDI transaction flow including POs, PO acknowledgements, ASNs, invoices, and inventory updates
- Monitor EDI dashboards and reports to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with partner requirements
- Research and resolve EDI-related issues including PO creation errors, updates, cancellations, and invoice discrepancies
Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis
- Analyze and troubleshoot connectivity, mapping, and data issues.
- Troubleshoot EDI failures across inbound and outbound documents
- Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to resolve pricing, quantity, ASN, and invoicing issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to prevent repeat issues
Platform & Partner Management
- Act as primary administrator and subject matter expert for EDI platforms such as eZCom and SPS Commerce
- Manage relationships with EDI providers and trading partners
- Maintain EDI documentation, mappings, and SOPs
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve EDI workflows, automation, and data accuracy
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, and new integrations as the business scales
- Ensure EDI processes align with internal controls and audit requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years of hands-on EDI experience in retail, wholesale, or apparel/CPG environments
- Strong experience with eZCom and SPS Commerce (required)
- Deep understanding of EDI transaction sets (850, 855, 856, 810, 846, etc.)
- Proven experience onboarding new vendors and managing EDI testing cycles
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PO, ASN, and invoicing discrepancies
- Ability to translate technical EDI issues into clear business impact explanations
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Knowledge of retailer-specific EDI compliance requirements
- Background in fast-growth or consumer brands

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 / year
